One Assessment. Three Journeys. One Body That Deserves to Be Understood.

If there’s one thing I’ve learnt after more than 30 years working in health and exercise, it’s this:

Women don’t need another exercise programme. They need the right programme for the stage of life they’re living.

Too often we’re told to exercise more, eat less and push harder.

But your body at 25 is very different from your body at 35, 50 or 65.

Pregnancy changes it.

Hormones change it.

Lifestyle changes it.

Life changes it.

Yet many exercise programmes still expect every woman to train in exactly the same way.

At Honest Body, I believe we should stop asking women to fit into exercise programmes and start creating programmes that fit the woman.

That’s why every client begins in exactly the same place.

Step One: The Honest Body Assessment

Before we prescribe exercise, we first understand your body.

During your Honest Body Assessment we’ll look at how you move, breathe, stand, walk and function in everyday life. We’ll discuss your health, your goals, your lifestyle and the challenges you’re currently facing.

This assessment allows us to understand where your body is today—not where it was ten years ago and not where social media tells you it should be.

Only then do we decide which pathway is right for you.

Three Honest Body Pathways

Pregnancy & Motherhood

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is:

“I’ll start exercising once I’m pregnant.”

In reality, the best time to begin is before pregnancy.

Building strength, improving posture and learning how your body moves before conception gives you the strongest possible foundation for pregnancy itself.

Of course, many women find me during pregnancy or after their baby has arrived, and we can absolutely work together safely at those stages too. But if you’re planning a family, preparing your body beforehand gives you the opportunity to maintain strength, movement and alignment as your pregnancy progresses.

After birth, the focus changes again.

Recovery isn’t about “getting your body back.”

It’s about building the body you need for motherhood.

Whether you’re carrying a newborn, lifting toddlers, feeding through the night or returning to exercise months later, your body deserves expert guidance that supports your changing needs.

Menopause

Perhaps the biggest change I see in clinic is women trying to become the person they were twenty years ago.

You are not that woman anymore.

And that’s perfectly okay.

Perimenopause and menopause bring genuine changes to muscle mass, balance, energy levels, recovery, joint health and confidence.

The answer isn’t to punish your body harder.

It’s to understand it better.

Instead of chasing the younger version of yourself, Honest Body helps you embrace the woman you are becoming.

Together we’ll improve posture, strength, balance, mobility and confidence while giving your body exactly what it needs through movement, nutrition and education.

This isn’t about slowing down.

It’s about moving forward differently.

Weight Management

For many women, weight isn’t really about food. It’s about emotion, confidence and years of dieting, guilt and believing certain foods are “good” or “bad.”

At Honest Body we don’t believe in quick fixes, in fad diets, nor do we believe in feeling guilty because you enjoyed dinner with your family.

Weight management is about learning to understand your body, your habits and your relationship with food.

When you understand how your body works, healthy choices become easier—not because someone told you what you can’t eat, but because you know what helps you feel your best.

Food should be enjoyed.

Exercise should improve your life.

Health should feel achievable.

Let’s leave the quick fixes behind and build habits that last a lifetime.
